CORONAVIRUS
AC Sam Searle  advises,
(5th April) "Well, at the moment I should have been going around the lanes of Medstead and Four Marks hiding eggs and clues ready for my annual Easter Egg Hunt today.  Instead I am here writing this, with lots of chocolate eggs and ceramic egg cups sat at home in the cupboard!  We have had lots of our events cancelled and postponed this year so far but please donít be despondent.  Some of the major events that the Hampshire Area have cancelled or will have to cancel in the near future, I will try and put them on later in the year so all of you will have something to look forward to.
For the time being we must all stay at home, stay away from other people and keep yourself and everyone else safe. The sooner we all stick to these rules the sooner this awful pandemic will be over and then we will be able to go out and enjoy our horses, ponies, friends and our wonderful sport of carriage driving.
Times like these really make you appreciate what a wonderful life we normally enjoy. Everyone keep safe and keep in touch." xxx

(24th March) "Due to the government announcement on Monday, 23rd March and the severity of what is happening around us at the moment, all Hampshire BDS events organised for April and May will be cancelled. I will revise the situation as we progress further through the year.
This is the last thing we all wanted and I know you were all looking forward to getting out and about in the good weather with your horse and ponies but the safety of our members is paramount. We must all stay at home and try and stop the spread of this horrible virus. There will be lots of events ready for you to come to once this has all passed.
I know this situation is quite depressing to all of us - if any of the members have any concerns about their horse/pony or just want to have a chat and try and lift their spirits I am always at the end of the phone .
Please, everyone, keep in touch and most of all keep safe."

PHOTOS of AREA EVENTS
Calling all budding photographers We are always looking for photos for the website and magazines, so if anyone has any good photos of any events, drives or socials, Ginny would be delighted to hear from you at <tomparkerfarms@btconnect.com>. They must be your own, so as not to infringe any copyright, and need to be taken with a camera, as pictures taken on mobile phones are not of sufficient quality for magazine publication. Please check the whip is wearing hat & gloves, carrying their whip in their hand and, with the exception of Le Trec and other fun events, holding the reins coachman style. Thank you.

SEPTEMBER DRIVING WEEK
This year we have decided to go back to putting on a whole week of drives and social events, which is very exciting news. The week will actually start on Sunday 20th with a welcome evening to enable everyone to meet up before the drives begin. Other socials include a lunchtime drive/BBQ, pub social and evening Dinner. Further details, including the drives, in due course.
